POGGIO CAMPANA: about the farm
Our farm covers 20 hectares and is situated in the middle of Maremma, in San Donato, in a region with a particular atmosphere. It is in the nature, where you can enjoy beautiful views over the landscape.
We have been farmers from five generations. We arrived here in 1955 and have devoted our life to the cultivation of these lands. Our farm produces cereals, fodder plants, sugar beet, vegetables, fruits, grapevines and olives.
POGGIO CAMPANA: about the agritourism
Our agritourism consists of three double rooms with bathroom, furnished with taste and provided with heating, air-conditioning, TV, minibar.
We have a common room with kitchen where we serve our guests a rich breakfast.
Around the agritourism, you will find a wide gazebo, a playground for children, bikes and barbecue.
Our garden hosts some pets such as geese, hens, pigeons, and rabbits.
POGGIO CAMPANA: What to see in our farm
During the year, it is possible to see our different activities, such as the sowing of cereals, the hand-picking of grapes, the olive crop, or the mechanical crop of tomatoes with an electronic sorting machine.

Surroundings
During your stay, you can spend your time as you prefer. Near our agritourism you will find many wide beaches: Argentario, Feniglia, Capalbio, Giannella, Talamone and Alberese. Thanks to the innumerable horse-riding centres of this region, you have the possibility to ride in the wild nature. In the surroundings, there are many farms where you can buy some typical products of Tuscany, such as wine, oil, cheese and fresh meat. Our agritourism is the ideal starting point to reach easily many villages and nature parks.
We suggest our guests to visit the following places.
-The nature park “Oasi WWF di Orbetello” where you can admire pink flamingos, white and grey herons, black-winged stilts and other innumerable waterfowls.
-Nature Park of Uccellina: This is the world of wild boars, roes, fallow deer and porcupines, living in this beautiful maquis. In the park, there are also seven watchtowers and St. Galgano abbey.
-Cosa, a town of 200 b.C: Near Ansedonia and Tagliata Etrusca you can see the ruins of a Roman commercial site.
-Islands such as Giglio and Giannutri. Giannutri belongs to the sea park of the Tuscan archipelago.
-Magliano: a village on a hill, surrounded by olive trees. The famous wine Morellino di Scansano is produced from the grapes cultivated in the nearby hills.
-Capalbio: a medieval village with its way “Cammino della Ronda” on the walls, where you can enjoy a beautiful view. The maquis underneath was the hideout of the famous Brigand Tiburzi.
-Talamone with its fortress built in the 15th century.
-Pitigliano: a town situated on a tuff rock. In the past it was the refuge of the Jews, put to flight by the papal state.
